Mostly dribbling without your subtle guidance...we'd all eventually just go out & ride our bikes in anticipation of your return.

Without you, the forum was a morgue, a dead planet circling round a lifeless sun. Without you, the forum was a beer party without any beer. Without you, the forum was an endless drive on a boring interstate highway with neither pie nor restrooms available for 137 miles.

But now that you're back, the people rejoice. There is dancing in the streets and a palpable sense that something very good is about to happen. As for myself, I'm a bit concerned. I understand that Webb Diego has been making inquiries about my "joint" bank account. Is there anything you can do to call off that dogged flatfoot?

Thank God He's Back!!!

Is it true that you flew over to France to give Floyd some help in scoring that nice victory the other day.

Please tell us it's true.

PS Welcome back!!!

Well, if you're worried, no one made any jokes at your expense. Well, almost no one.

...OK, maybe a few...

...Um, sure, yeah, I guess you could say several here might have had a little fun...

...But not me!

Webb Diego made sure things didn't get too out of hand at least.

OK, but seriously now:

Floyd Landis' dramatic comeback was made even more incredible by reports that he not only has a bum hip, but also a pacemaker and is undergoing dialysis while awaiting a kidney transplant.

The Prez announced a complete withdrawal from Iraq by the end of August.

Lance Armstrong admitted to doping, sex with minors of both genders, and kicking puppies.

A CNN crawler announced a "slight but disturbing" decrease in national pie consumption.

Other than that, it's been quiet.

Ahhhhhh...it's great to be back!

By the way, Floyd says to say hi, and that the 50+ Forum is his favorite of all. He'll post more when he's not quite so busy. (I got there just in time, it would seem!)

Enjoy your new bikes, while I call my credit card company to report identity theft.

I still haven't ridden in a while, thanks to this cold. May go out later today. I smell pie!

It's bound to be true! Hope he wins, but making up over 30 seconds in a 35 mile time trial ain't likely... In any case, the French'll say he cheated.

I heard a story on the radio the other morning. I doubt that it's true, but it's worth retelling:

A French journalist was interviewing Ted Nugent. The journalist, to needle the Nooge about hunting, asked "What was the last deer you shot thinking? Was he thinking about whether or not you were his friend or possibly whether you were the one who shot his brother?" To which Nooge replied: "Nah - Deer aren't that smart. They think of only three things: What'm I going to eat next, what'm I going to have sex with next, and can I run away fast enough - Kind of like Frenchmen!"

Au contraire, mon ami. Floyd beat both Pereiro and Sastre by well over a minute in the first long time trial, stage 7. I think he's got an excellent chance to take yellow tomorrow. Allez Floyd!

Cooker and I, along with some help from others, started the First Water War, between Canada and the U.S. It's all Big Paulie's fault for bringing to our attentions, some Warton Business School ivory tower professor's paper on energy expenditures and biking. DG you better be glad you live along the southern border of the U.S. were there's security with our kind neighbor Mexico. You should see the cruise missles being launched north out of NH towards Quebec. All so the U.S. can grab control of Canada's water rights. It's just horrible!

I got in 175 miles, had 3 flats, encountered about 17 riders who did not wave back to me, 30 plus who did, ate 17 bananas out on the road, fiddled with my tire inflation ratio, got a large cheese pizza on the way home and surprised the wifey when I came through the door that night, visited a friend who broke his collar bone in a group ride, and got a call from Australia from a friend raving about Floyd Landis' stage victory, and listened to GWB's pathetic attempt to make nice with the NAACP...

But it all meant nothing without DG to harrass, laugh at, tease, and generally disrespect!

Um... we rode our bikes. Spent money on biking (spare parts and accessories). Linda had her surgery, and bikeforums was down once or twice
