What do we really know about Webb Diego?

Do we know what kind of bike he rides?

No.

Do we even know if he rides a bike?

No.

If he does ride a bike, do we know if takes off that suit and tie to ride?

No.

Do we know his opinion of frame materials?

No.

Do we know if has ridden a century?

No.

Do we know how he feels about road bikes vs. mountain bikes vs. 'bents?

No.

So, I ask again -- what do we really know about Webb Diego?

There you go again, Digital Gee -- or should I say, secular humanist???

You want to have two guys making out in front of your 4-year-old? It's OK with you. A guy smoking a joint, blowing the smoke into your little kid's face? OK with you. And I'm not exaggerating here. This is exactly what the secular movement stands for.

So you go ahead, and cast dispersions on Webb Diego, one of America's finest citizens.

Go ahead, D.G. (or whatever your name is). I'll give you the last word.

Let's make up our own answers for Webby D:

A Schwinn Typhoon, made in the early 60s. One speed and a coaster brake is all he needs to fight the criminal element.

Quote:

Of course he rides. He loves America and wants to do his part to conserve gasoline and reduce air polution.

Quote:
If he does ride a bike, do we know if takes off that suit and tie to ride?
Never. He's a classy looking guy. Maybe even a metrosexual.

Quote:
Do we know his opinion of frame materials?
Steel. Is there anything else?

Quote:
Do we know if has ridden a century?
He doesn't keep track of such mundane things. Webby just rides from place to place and tormenting criminals as he goes.

Quote:
Do we know how he feels about road bikes vs. mountain bikes vs. 'bents?
A Schwinn Typhoon does have a bent top bar but Webby doesn't have a clue about all the varieties of two wheeled nirvana. In his world there are; Single speed coaster brake bikes, 10 speed racers, and 3 speed English bikes for the gentler gender.

Quote:
So, I ask again -- what do we really know about Webb Diego?
Nothing. But we can have fun making up stuff for a made up character.

Now have some fun with us Webby.

He is an imposter!

The true Webb Diego would/could NEVER fight crime without his partner, Harry. This so-called "Webb Diego" has never even mentioned that fighting crime requires a TEAM.

Notice in the picture comparing the phony with the real Webb Diego the following glaring differences:

1. The phony is wearing a black suit. The real is not.

2. The phony is looking a bit to the left. The real is not.

3. The phony pictures is cropped ovally. The real is square. Would a real Webb Diego have an oval cropped picture? No way!

and 4. The phony picture does not have a partner in the picture, The real picture does!

What other proof does one need?

I don't care about any of the Diego's. Last time I replied to one of their postings-I Had a bad experience. I Went into a shop and bought a road bike- Those Diego's have got a lot to answer for- Their influence is getting stronger and even reaching Europe- Or is it one of the realations.

"Webb Diego" is the id of our friend and countryman, "Mad Dog" Gary. The id isn't always pretty, but it's always there and we might as well get used to it!

If you mean hiding in a closet to catch a criminal in the act of a felony, then yeah, I'm guilty as charged. If you mean that I'm the spitting image of the father of law enforcement in the U.S. of A., J. Edgar Diego, then I thank you for the compliment. But Mister, if you think my partner Gannon Diego and I dabble in the netherworld of forbidden same sex pleasure, you are sadly mistaken. Oh sure, we go bowling every Wednesday night, and enjoy the occational pat on the butt after a good frame, but so do most guys. And by guys I mean men, real men, the kind who would take a bullet for each other before they would turn hightail. Let me rephrase that...

Do we know his opinion of frame materials?

I ride a Kevlar frame, made from the same bullet proof vests that have saved the lives of uniformed officers shot in the line of duty...any more stupid questions?

Your worst nightmare? Let me tell you about nightmares, beatnik-boy. A battalion of North Koe-reans, all carrying AK 47's, and loaded to the eyeballs with Soviet ordnance. And the only bullet proof vests we had in those days was faith that when it was all over, the first President of the United States of the 21st Century would lead us to glories not yet imagined! He would be a man of intelligence and imagination! A man with the vision to bring together a world otherwise torn apart by greed and distrust! A man with a manner of speech so convincing, so seductive, so appealing, that the country will e-elect him in 2004 while the rest of the free world will stand up and cheer!!!

If by "Metrosexual" you mean a life long commitment to policing the metropolitan areas of Los Angeles with a "stiffy" to catch the criminal element, then I'll cop to that. Yeah, that's what I said, a law enforcement stiffy. Oh sure, this is a family oriented forum, and we all like to make nice. But just below the surface of the world of 50 + happy chat, there's a war going on. And it's between the guys who would just as soon spit in your eye as post something supportive about some fellow's latest 12 mile ride...going downhill with a tail wind the whole way, and enjoying a Sag wagon alongside offering food and drink every 30 seconds like it was his mommy taking care of him when he was 3 years old. Yeah, I'm geting carried away, but so would you if you were a cop paying the mortgage on a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath dump in North Hollywood that hasn't appreciated in value in over 40 years.

I sleep better at night knowing that Officer Webb is on duty with his 'nightstick' at the ready, prowling the mean dark streets, casting his eagle eye left, right & center, ever alert for the miscreants skulking the urban warrens seeking to overthrow the safety of our great American cities.

That's right: Webb Diego is watching out for ALL of us (at least the white WASP males that vote Republican despite all evidence for contrary recommendation & we're the only ones that matter, right?).
