I need to get a life!
I realized today that I have ridden my bike for 31 consecutive days. Average of 32 miles a day. I'm taking 2 days off to go scuba diving and I feel so guilty. Well, not SO guilty. Have a great weekend everybody!

I hear walmart has lives on sale. Pick me up one while you're there.

No, don't go scuba diving. 31 days of uninterrupted riding for an adult nonprofessional rider is remarkable. How can you break this string?!! The ocean will continue to roll and be wet for some time to come. You have a life.......it's called "cyclist". You ride while the rest of have a life and feel inspired by your sacrifice.

Don't get your life at walmart. I've been hearing alot about assembly problems, mostly by a bunch of of kids that have never really lived.

Wal-Mart through its buying power gets the lowest possible price from its suppliers. This means that the suppliers have to cut corners to make a profit. Getting a Wal-Mart life will result in riding only Wal-Mart bikes and thinking that they are top quality. It will also result in riding on knobby tires rather than slicks. It will also result in using Slime filled tubes.
You would be much better off getting a life from Target or even better, Kohls. |

Sussed it- Weight the bike down and Scuba cycling.

What's all this fascination with having a life? I haven't had one for years, and I'm still here, still kicking.

I look forward to the Neiman-Marcus Christmas catalog because their special His & Hers gift always seems like such a wonderful life. |

What woud J.P. Sarte say about an existance on Craig's List and 50+ Bike Forums?

"I thought I had a life but it seems it was only a thought among many thoughts whose existence could or could not make a difference only if one thought such thoughts could have a life, a thoughtful life, a life among the Wal-Marts, Targets & Neiman-Marcuses of life. Perhaps I shall go ride my bike & think about this."

I wanna live in the back room of a WalMart. But i am bringing my own bike with me.

I look at scuba diving this way. Ever swim against a Pacific current . You better have strong legs. The ocassional dive, makes cycling all the more mandatory. Can't use my snorkle cycling. WHy keep the stuff about the house. Plus, I do enjoy diving too. But, two days off might be a bite excessive. ? ps. It's been posted here before. I think in Genoa, Italy and Lebanon, they have an underwater mountain biking event. (Lebanon, maybe not this year.?) IT requires full dive gear and is an underwater race. Seems this event has been held in Jamaica too. Has a great amount of appeal to me, but I do not have a mountain bike. Not sure , what lube one would use in sea water. ? sounds like you live an interesting life to me.

I am envious. Getting dark early here - no time to ride after work. Getting lighter later in the AM - tough to ride before work. That leaves the weekend. I did about 90 miles this weekend, of which 70 was in pouring rain. And the temps are going down...

I got carried away with biking this year and only went fishing a couple of times, didn't scuba even once, and rode most days. Neglected most of my other hobbies.
Though I love biking, I love the other stuff, too, so next year I'll hire akid to cut our lawn, weed the flowerbeds, etc. and try do it all!!! |

Forget the get a life- I will modify that to get a wife. One like mine that is keen on gardening and All I have to do is Cut the grass, dig the beds when require, Build a Pergola, construct new flower beds, Do all the chemical weeding- rotavate the area for the new lawn- set the Pool up each year- and take it down again............ Think I'll follow your idea and find an eager kid. |

Obviously not a scuba diver! Lakes, quarries, ponds, rivers, tanks. Anyplace deep enough to get your body completely under water.
