Stuck in the Library
Not all rides go as planned. I pedaled down to downtown Little Rock for a meeting like the one in my Blueberry Pie challenge. Decided to stop at the library while I was downtown. Now the weather turned bad and I'm waiting for the clouds to break, which the NOAA site seems to indicate will be in about an hour. Till then, I'm just hanging out reading bikeforums.

Arkansas rain has a plethora of undissolved solids in it - these come down out of the stratosphere after being ejected skyward by the TALL smokestacks in Harris County (Houston/Pasadena), Texas.
Regular ponchos are ineffective against these tiny pellets - you have to wear teflon-coated or old-fashioned neoprene. And if you don't believe me about the tiny rain pellets, just check out the Arkansas state website...

Captain of Industry and Gilded Age Philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, benefactor and founder of so many libraries across America, would be pleased that an itinerant cyclist took shelter in his institution and took time to read one of the true classics of Western literature.....Bicycle Forums Fifty Plus.

Well, When given the choice between getting soaked(Its still warm enough that the choice between poncho or rain is rain) and hanging out in the library for a while, it's an easy choice. Later the clouds parted and I pedaled on.
