Checking out & wanted to say thanks.
Folks, I've enjoyed my visits to the 50+ forum, and wanted to say thanks for the sense of community. I've recently taken a second job (gotta figure out how to earn enough money to get the last kid through college and still be able to retire before I'm 85). So, I know I'll have to be very disciplined to get riding time in. This means I won't have time to cruise the posts on this forum any longer. I suspose I'll be able to check in once in a while, but I've really got to be careful with time on-line.... it just seems to disappear. So, happy trails (for those off road); smooth tarmac (for those on road); and, keep on truckin' (for the bent riders).

Keep checking in- And the odd comment won't take long. With luck- it won't be long before you can return. If it is a choice between The forum and riding- get the riding in. Lose that and it will take a long time to get back.
Got an alternative for you- Kids at College waste a lot of time so find them jobs in their spare time. I was lucky in that my daughter got a part time job that had flexible hours in the evenings and she helped me get her through Uni. All I had to pay for was the Car- the Uni fees and the Drink. She paid for the rest but I am still wondering what that was.

So long & a big +1 on having the kid earn some of his way. It was traumatic for my oldest son but he got through, always found some kind of work & landed a great job upon graduation.

I give you credit for what are your obvious efforts to see your kids through school - been there, dun dat. It ain't always easy, but it does pay dividends.
Mine have finished and, thankfully, are having some success in the working world, now, but, I probably will have to work until I'm 85.
OTOH, if I had a choice whether or not to do it all over again, I would do it all over again, even if it meant having to work until I was 170 (that's 85 x 2 - quick at ciphering, aren't I?).
