Spring!!!

[As background here, I need to let you know that come October, Ms. Coyote and I part sleeping arrangements and I partake to a room with open windows all Winter.] Two nights ago, I was brought awake twice by two different squadrons of swans passing overhead at altitude. Their cruising whistle seems to keep them in formation in the gloom and is distinct from the Canada Goose. One of Earth's great sounds!! Makes ya' glad to draw breath and I will miss these things most of all when I check outta' this hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first ride. The 71 degree weather was absolutely oustanding. I took it "slow and easy " per Doc's instruction so it took about 1 hour to travel the 10 miles around the lake. My new homebuillt wheels (Ultegra hubs, Sapim spokes, Velocity Fusion rims) performed flawlessly. In case you can't tell, It was a GREAT afternoon!!!
Thanks for all your encouragement.......apprehension eliminated.

Is that a picture of you? How tall are you? You (or whomever that is) make that bike look tiny.

It is a picture of me. I am 6ft tall. I agree, the (58cm) Specialized Allez Comp Triple does appear to be disproportionately tiny in the photo. It fits/rides great......

Either you guys find Gary and I the right kind of luscious partners (surely some spinstery church lady, your wife's hairdresser's best friend, etc.), or we're doing the unthinkable. And you can just go and ask DG what that is. Go ahead, tell them DG................................

Well, I have lots of single girl friends but most of them feel the same way about marriage as I do. Our motto is "Any women looking for a husband obviously never had one"

I can't say, but the Diegos would have had no such discretion.

Its 55f. today!Rode only 17mi in the metro parkway today(its been 2 months) in a windsuite and felt overdressed.Lots of standing water and mud on the MUP,s so I stuck to the road.It appeared in the park several other roadies were playing hookey today.Had trouble with visability with that funny bright light resonating overhead whatever that was.
Large chunks of ice flowed down the river towards Lake Erie next to the road, while diving ducks dodged the flotsam to feed.Lots of trout fishman on the banks trying for steelhead trout.Nature is back in business in the northern Ohio metroparks and all s well in the world again for me.
