Other 50+ forums and Web sites?

Folks,

This is a terrific forum for cyclists over 50. Do you know of other forums and Web sites with information and community on other sports and fitness activities? What are your favorites?

I think everyone here would say that THIS is the best place to be. But seriously, there must be some other sites people can think of.

Anyone?

Not strictly 50+, but www.keepriding.org is a newer site related to cyclists with heart issues which lots of 50+ riders have.

I used to moderate a "Senior Fitness Forum" which was quite active, and attracted some top-notch competitive athletes from across the country. But, it died a slow death. It is still there, but no one ever posts.

There is a fitness after 50 web page operated by Ed Mayhew. He wrote a book and Nora and I are in it as "Masters of Fitness ."

I wonder why? There must be many fitness nuts over fifty who hang out on the Net.

For a decade I frequented various newsgroups on Usenet, including rec.bicycles.rides. I liked Usenet because it was non-commercial and no one asked for a subscription fee, though it did get plagued with spam. It has fallen into decline and many ISPs have stopped carrying it, but you can still access a lot of it through Google Groups, including rec.bicycles.rides.
