I had it all planned. Buy the $75 carbon fiber Miyata frame 62cm for a stealth all black ss/fixie. Convert my SS/fixie Raleigh back to geared with Cyclone 7000 grupo. Use the Raleigh for studded snow tires as needed since they fit w/fenders. Sell the TREK hybrid [not needed for snow tires] to finance the carbon fork and other odds and ends.
After a flurry of emails - the seller has not called to coordinate the sale. I fear he as seduced by an avalanche of craigslist email.
Hey - it's old carbon but it'd make a reasonably light fixie.

Short version - thought I'd get an older carbon fiber frame for $75 but the craigslist seller went incommunicado

Thanks - but my faith is restored. The gentleman called and I now own the frame. I am busy working out the build up.

Sounds like you have some hours of work ahead of you.

Will look forward to reading your reports.
