Raw strawberries are great. I have a strawberry patch in my garden - raspberry & rhubarb patches too. But when cooked and mixed into rhubarb, it's a no go for me. I mean, I love spicy brown mustard and I love chocolate, but I'm not about to mix them together.

I will take that under advisement.
Though, by the time yours crosses the pond, I don't how interested you'll be in eating what's left of it.

Oh, I don't know. Some of those store pies have enough preservatives to last a couple of years.

No mention of gooseberry pie!! My grandmother used to make it, from a gooseberry bush in her back yard. Must have had a ton of sugar, you couldn't eat the berrys off of that bush!! And I can remember actually having "polk salad", not just remembering the song!

Here's a rhubarb pie fan!! It's hard to find. My aunt made them each year from when the rhubarb in her garden was ready. She also made a good stewed rhubarb. It just takes so much sugar to make it edible

Did she make you pick the rhubarb? My grandmother made the most delicious blackberry cobbler but she sent us out with our little buckets to pick them for her. Gawd, how I hated that as I just knew I was going to see at least one snake
