Just supposin...

Just supposing you were out for a ride on your favorite bike, and it was one of those rides we all crave -- everything was perfect -- the temps, the breeze, the way you felt.

Suddenly, a UFO lands in a field right next to you, and two aliens get out and ask whether you'd like to accompany them back to their planet. They promise to bring you back safely in one year.

The only caveat is you have to leave immediately. You can't even say goodbye to any loved ones. Somehow, you are convinced of your own safety on such a voyage.

Would you go? Why or why not?

And let's face it. We already know what The Weak Link would do.

I just kind of figured he'd be one of the two aliens. He's from KY and that's pretty alien in and of itself.

I wouldn't go, for too many reasons to list. I'm enjoying my Grandkids too much to leave them for a whole year. Besides, I have Cub tickets for next Friday's game.

For the answer to this and other interesting questions, read "Little Green Men" by Christopher Buckley. It's one of the funniest books I've ever read.

Not me. Everybody knows that they lie then impregnate you with an alien baby. Unless of course they were from the Halle Berry galaxy

Now we know what Gary thinks about when he is out riding his bike.

Pretty scary, isn't it?

Would this planet be more like the planet Risa (the "pleasure planet") in the Star Trek universe?

http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Risa

Or the ice planet Hoth, from the Star Wars movies?

I'm single. No one would miss me too much. I'd go, on two conditions.

They must have their own bicycles. You can't trust a sentient being who doesn't bicycle. And, they would have to have excellent pie.

Gary can't go. I think one of the requirements was that he would have to make up his mind right now.

On the other hand he might be asking this question in advance. I dont have enough knowledge of aliens............Hey......Hey Weak Link....a little help here.
