Enough!! We Need A <50+ Admission Test

ENOUGH!! WE NEED A <50+ ADMISSION TEST

Those <50 who enter the forum (present company excepted, of course) should pass some sort of admissions test to be sure they are properly prepared and of the right mind and attitude for the 50+ Forum.

Herein we will accumulate a series of questions designed to measure just that.

Please post your questions here so they can be assembled into an exam so we can be sure the prospective <50+'ers are fully prepared to participate.

Do you remember when only theaters and grocery stores were air-conditioned? And everyone else had ceiling or rotating fans?

Place these in the proper order:

1. Frozen vegetables

2. 10 speed bicycles

3. The Interstate Highway system

4. Bay of Pigs

Say What? I think you failed the test.

All we had were hand fans one used in church.

Red Baron, I wasn't thinking of a church as a commercial establishment. Here in NC, hand-held fans were all that existed, too. And all the ladies wore hats and gloves.

Have you ever handplanted tobacco off of a sled pulled along by a tractor?

Given a choice, would you post to the 50+ forum:

1. A serious thread about bicycling

2. A funny thread about bicycling

3. A request for a grocery list?

I have hand planted teak seedlings from a crate I carried 1 kilometers up hill - does that count?

All threads in the 50+ forum must devolve into:

1. Pie!
2. Digital Gee pondering a new bike
3. Grandkids
4 All the above

Do step-grandkids count? And having to put on +2's from the drugstore to eat dinner in a low-light restaurant?

I don't have grandkids but it is my kids fault- they are plenty OLD enough to have kids. Of course, I am not old enough yet to be a grandfather which might explain the delay...

The goal of 50+ bicycling is:

1. To get to the other side

2. To write funny things on the 50+ forum

3. To get your picture in the Rogue's Gallery

or

4. All of the above.

Pshaw - you are disqualified DnverFox, a careful reading of the archives will tell you that the real goal is to not fall over in front of a pretty girl when you first start using clipless pedals.

I will consider it a major compliment that I made you snort prune juice...
