Snapshot of Bike from Rivendell

Murphy's Law: Ordered two bikes three months apart ... second bike is arriving at the LBS three weeks after first one did ... while I'm wearing second cast for three weeks again. I hope I don't recieve any more bike stuff, or I may wind up with multiple casts.

Here's an attempt to post a pic from the good folks from Rivendell. If the jpeg photo doesn't go through, please tell me how to attach photos from a computer.

That's one good looking bike. I really like the handlebar tape and the saddle match, good show.

Very nice. Any minute now someone is going to feel the need to say that 650B wheels are stupid, but they'll be wrong so don't worry about it.

Thanks, it's olive green metalflake. I guess wearing olive green Army uniforms for many years has pre-destined the color of my Saluki.

It's the second bike received, but first one ordered back in February. I haven't seen the first one yet, cause I can't drive to the bike shop. ARRRGGG

You're going to love the Saluki. I have an Atlantis and a Rambouillet (got a great deal on the Rambo used, or I couldn't justify having both), and they're just perfect for everything i want to do on a bike. I wish my wife were just a little more interested in cycling so we could add a Saluki, but I'm thinking about converting her old Bridgestone (also a Grant bike; he was product manager there) to 650B

Thank you Beverly. I got good advice on how to set up the bike, from the 50+ gang, based on bike photos from the members and from description of gruppos that everybody is using. Great forum.

That's a very classic-looking color scheme. Of course, I am partial to the second color for the head tube.

Frankly, when I walk through bike shops, I'm not impressed by the appearance of many new bikes.

But that is a very attractive bike, a real head-turner.
