Fun but short ride today, but..........

Short rides can be fun! Donna and I ended up with just 15 miles, but a very enjoyable ride. Started riding thru a couple of adjoining local parks, up a couple of hills, visited a very large man made reservoir we hadn't seen before. Then into and around some older local neighborhoods. I think I want to move there! Older houses, very well kept up, and all had very large front porches, in line with one another. I think neighbors would be more like neighbors had the large front porches never disappeared! But, on the way back, had a cyclist call out a name under his breath. Hope it was meant for a car driver (though I didn't see one anywhere near), as I certainly can't figure why it would have been aimed at us. Did have to pass us, but there was plenty of room, no traffic, and we were single file. Maybe someone was having a bad day. We sure had a good one!!

Sounds like a very nice ride!

Sorry about the other cyclist.... you're right, probably having a bad day, or just has a sour disposition all the time.

+1 on the front porches. Of course, this comment really does put you in the 50+ crowd no matter where you might make it. Where I live most young people have no clue what a front porch is.

Miles usually don't come into play when it comes to the enjoyment of rides
