How many miles did you ride for July?

I did 458 miles for the month of July. Not quite the number I expected since I was shooting for 150+ a week ride. I was just curious as to mileage the 50+ group log each month if they keep a goal of covering and recording their mileage per week or month. It would be interesting to see how we 50+ manage to maintain certain level of rides each month.

I had 773.

BSLeVan 08-01-07 08:48 AM

I logged 656 miles or 1055 kilometers (which sounds much more impressive).

Kurt Erlenbach 08-01-07 08:53 AM

461.50, which included my first century

RDW3261 08-01-07 09:12 AM

1002 miles. Won't do that again for a while.

LynnH 08-01-07 09:12 AM

Somewhere around 350, I don't write it down, but I average about 90 a week. That seems about right for me, keeps me pretty happy!

I used to keep a log so I'd know what training worked, what miles I rode, etc. After about 6 mos. I just got too busy to keep track.

Because I divide my riding between the tandem (with a Garmin, no cumulative record) and my solo (with saved miles info) and I know I did just over 100/week in July, I guesstimate that I rode in excess of 600 miles for the month. Last week we did 187 miles.

Now I need a nap. And a more precise way to keep track of mileage.

Haven't tracked my milesin over a decade, but the month included 2 centuries and 2 metric centuries and most week days I do two 1 hour rides, about 800 miles for the month.

Distance: 562 miles
Altitude gain: 31,500 ft
Total Rides: 23

DnvrFox 08-01-07 10:17 AM

Not enough and too many.

I am not keeping track, exactly, but have been averaging about 150 miles per week, which would be about 600 miles or so.

p8rider 08-01-07 10:34 AM

398 in 19 rides. Last July was 351 which included my first century so this year was a little better overall and in number of rides.

guybierhaus 08-01-07 10:36 AM

Well I'll mention my July miles to establish the low bar: 277.1 Not expecting much more for August. My body fails to move in heat and humidity.

tpelle 08-01-07 10:52 AM

Only about 150, but I was only home for 1 week since July 9 - I travel for business a lot.

divingbiker 08-01-07 10:55 AM

468, including my first century and 14 commutes to work.

stapfam 08-01-07 11:17 AM

Did my regulat 400 this month and this has been on the new bike. Still trying to summon up courage to try a real hill on it but That is me and not the bike.

BluesDawg 08-01-07 11:31 AM

Don't know, but not as much as I would like to have ridden. Working long hours lately and some of the days I had planned to ride it started thunderstorming as I left work. Concentrating on preparing for MTB races has really cut out a lot of my long rides too. My last race is this coming Sunday. After that I plan to get back to doing more longer rides.

DanteB 08-01-07 11:54 AM

But, 22,345 feet is just a bit over 4 miles???:) Is that a total of 712 miles?

HopedaleHills 08-01-07 12:01 PM

229 for me. I was out of town on two weekends where I couldn't ride.

abqhudson 08-01-07 12:26 PM

Dogbait 08-01-07 12:30 PM
