Riding with my kid

I have been enjoying the pictures and words from 50+ers who have been able to ride with their kids and grandkids. I finally have the chance to join in. My eldest daughter is here for the weekend and we got out for a short ride this morning. We had a leisurely ride in a beautiful area (she grew up here) with lots of father/daughter conversation. I'm proud to say she is really making her way in this world. She is responsible for getting me into road biking. She had a chance to buy a couple of Bianchis for a good price about 5 years ago, and I got one of them. Now, I ride more than she does, but have had chances to ride not only with her, but her husband.

You can't tell from the photo, but her bike is a Serotta Ti her husband and a friend built up for her for Christmas.

It's plain to see how proud you are of her, and how happy she is to be riding and chatting with her dad. That pic should be printed and framed.

Both of you are blessed to be able to ride together. That is a great photo, as Louis said worthy to be printed and framed, a real keeper. You both look very happy.... and fit!

Nice pic Mojo,

My 22-year old daughter is a great kid, too. We are riding the Hotter N Hell 100 in a few weeks.

We love our kids when they are little. We are blessed to have the experiences we have with them when they are adults. So neat to be able to ride with them (and still play a bit of soccer with them). Not all Dad's get that chance.

Thanks for the post and here's a wish that you have many more rides together.

BTW, the smiles you both have on your faces tells the story!
