At least his screen name is fitting for someone in this fine forum. Welcome! I'm the one they call D.G. (and can't you just feel the love in the room?).

6, so far I only ride Italian-style old racy bikes, so therein lies the problem. I'd need a Bobbish Colnago or Masi trailer.

Well, I have a steel bike, so to make up for the difference in age not quite making the standard here, I hope the difference that my bike weighs, is fair enough?

I can do blueberry too. In the mean time, I'll ponder the Roadie meaning AtATurks.

Alas, the world may still be *not* perfect, and well, maybe I ought to broaden my thinking anyway, to starting out just riding for sport around my block (23 mile mtn loop it is, with aprox 2100 ft elevation gain) . I'm a retro rider, for starters, almost a grouch about it >>okay, so I have friction downshifters on my road bike...I hope that's not going to be a problem with anybody here... ... and also a mtn biker who bit the dust metaphorically, and at this time I just can't seem to even hoist myself back up on the beast. I have lost my edge, one decade and forty pounds away from my prime, but it's not so bad, because I know I can get it back with the encouragement from all of you.

Just wanted to wave and say "hi", and now I guess I'll just familiarize myself with the big kids around here. ~jen
Hi Jen and welcome. I'm *only* 46, and they let me post here, too. I'd love to ride around your block with you! Sounds very fine.

What's this talk about being a decade out of your prime? Heck, 60 is the new 40. We're all young at heart when we mount our trusty steeds :-) (settle down I'm talking about our BIKES)
