What are you doing differently with your Garmin 305?
Many of us now own a Garmin 305.
I've found I download the ride information very regularly-probably after every ride or two. Before I had the Garmin, I used to take the information from my cyclometer and HR monitor and transfer it so a spreadsheet I was keeping up that had the statistics I was interested in. I was forced to do that or lose the data because I had to reset the stuff after each ride.
Now, since the information is recorded on-line in a couple places, I review the information on-line ride by ride but do not compile any of the data. I know what I've done ride by ride but cannot tell you what I've done for the week, month or year without doing some manual number crunching.
What are you doing after you've started using your Garmin? Has it changed the way you were keeping up with any of your ride data?
I'm not sure I have the energy or patience to go back a few months and hand enter all the information.........

My Garmin is still driving me a bit nutty. Heart Rate can be very inaccurate. Guess I'll have to call customer support again.

Sorry for another OT, but... Mine was shutting down mid-ride. Would restart, but then shut down again. I called customer service, described the problem, shipped it to them last week, and just this morning received a "Newly Reconditioned" unit. Looks brand new to me. Too bad it had a problem, but Garmin took care of me.
Otherwise, I usually upload info to Motionbased. I havn't paid subscription yet, so I can only access data for last 10 rides, but I can go in and look up rides for my area, and they all seem to be there and accessible.

I use MotionBased, but I think there are some other sites that cater more to numbers crunchers. I think MotionBased caters more to the "lookie here at the cool GPS maps" folks. Beverly uses a different program, Stattracker or something like that and really likes it.

It's Sporttraks from Zone Five Software?, it's free and it works great. The author is now working on the 2.0 version.

I use my 305 with Motion Based and SportTracks, but to be honest, sometimes I'd prefer to just go back to a regular computer. I've had mine since January and have gotten over the gee-whiz factor.
Here's a few things that I've noticed:
good:
1. I use the 305 on four different bikes
2. No wheel magnet to get out of sync and no wires
3. Handles heart rate
4. Does satisfy the geek in me
Not so good:
1. Is large and clunky
2. Has to be recharged every night or before every ride
3. Short run time
4. Have to keep track of miles for each bike somewhere else
5. I never wear the heart monitor
