    Bibs ?

I have the Nashbar Gel Essential Bibs. They were about $40.00. The Pearl Izumi Bibs are about a $140.00. I have been thinking about a new pair so tell are the Pearl Izumi's worth the money? And why? I don't have a problem paying that for them if they are realy worth it.

Can you afford the $300 sunglasses, the carbon helmet, the handsewn lemur skin gloves, the $6K bike, and the flashy blond bimbo wearing a BFFiftyPlus logo'ed thong to go with those shorts? Most of us find such things worth whatever sacrifice.

I would prefer Castelli over PI and if you can afford Assos they are worth the money. While you can find wearable bibs for <$100 I can say from experience that you get what you pay for in this area. I started out on the cheaper side but I am now convinced after buying a pair of Castelli's that Assos will be my next purchase. This is something I wear every other day and goes a long way in making cycling comfortable. Like my sidi shoes it is not the place to be cheap in my opinion.
The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard and the shallow end is much too large
