My 18 speed fixed gear Trek

The ride home in Monday's "Snow Storm" was fun but the weather service frightened
me into my truck for Tuesday's commute. I wasn't about to drive in this evening. Temp around
18 degrees F with a stiff breeze out of the West. I'm in too low of a gear, better shift, oops....
Frozen deraileurs. I guess I'm gonna have to figure out how to get the bike into the
basement when home for daily thawing and occasional servicing.

Oh well, the roads were too treacherous to ride much more than 10 mph anyway. As I
watch the temp drop down through the teens tonight I'm trying to figure out how to
re-arrange the house to make this work.

Atleast this beats having real problems...for a change.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot...I HATE WINTER !!!!!!

I'm with you on hating winter

This time of year they sell large plastic bags for wrapping bikes for Christmas. I've used them a couple times to wrap around the bike for transporting it through the house without dripping all over the floors.

Summer merged into Autumn with just a bit stronger wind and a bit more rain. Autumn into winter and the wind has got to gale force and the rain is almost continuous. Did I say we did not have a good summer?

Yeah, weren't they an opening act for Grace Slick and Jefferson Airplane? I once saw a street performance of "White Roubaix" by Jefferson Airplane in the Haight-Ashbury... awesome!

It's essentially our wet season, DG.

Aaah, Stapfam. Take a break and come and see us. 81F, cloudless sky and a light breeze. My sister-in-law-from Glos is here and dreading going home next Thursday. I haven't been cycling for 10 days however, as I have chest cold I can't seem to shake off. Caught it from the grandkids. Was hoping to ride my age today as it's my birthday - 67 - but I'll pass as I keep coughing my lungs up.
