What goes around comes around

I tried to go to n-1 bikes. And I failed.

I gave away my Free Spirit beater bike on the 2nd. This morning another bike appeared on my doorstep. As I was launching my bike to go to work, I saw a neighbor struggling to get a chest of drawers into his car. He was obviously moving. He motioned to me and had me come over. I thought he wanted help.

Turns out he had a Murray Cruiser with a frame that he had custom painted. And he was giving it to me because he knew I would give it a good home. It seems to be in reasonable shape though it is missing its wheels and hasn't got fenders. So I guess I've gone from n-1 back to n.

There are some universal laws that just can't be broken. You've found one of 'em.

Is a bike that is missing its wheels still a bike? I'm not sure you ARE a lawbreaker.

That N+1 works- Ordered a new Bike last Saturday but the Old OCR is going. That cuts keeps me down to 5 bikes of my own plus the wifes and the kids and the boyfriends.

Got my new N + 1 bike today, off Craigslist. Raleigh alum. frame that was "used for one trip to Maine" but the seller later admited he used to be a bike messenger! Totally beat but a box of parts that included a new Deore front der. and (all I really wanted) a set of 105 9 speed shifters.

Oh I almost forgot the most important thing. A Freddie Kruger decal picture on the headtube. Very nice.
