...but I didn't fall
The calm after the storm. 30+ F and almost no wind and the roads are
dry !!!!!!! I had to take the LWB Bent out for a ride. Got in just over 44 miles . Its was a mixed ride, some roads and some MUP's. Anyone within riding distance of the Mouth of the Genesee River take note...the River Trail between the Cement Plant and Lake avenue has a very slick and thorough leaf cover for about a third of a mile. The rear end (of the bike) slid out a couple of times, which was kinda fun, the front slid out once...that wasn't fun at all....but I didn't fall, in case anybody cares. :D |

We also want the story to end with, "and nobody was hurt." :D |

First winter of road riding and the roads are not good right now. Offroad I know what to expect and have to skills to handle everything the track and conditions throw at me. But riding with my Head between my knees on a 42cm bar is still new to me. |
I love not falling!

You didn't mention what kind of pie you ate, post-ride. :)

I do not like riding on wet leaves over asphalt. How much did you slow down, if any, as you went over this stuff?
At least on a bent, if you do fall, it isn't nearly as far. Although it still do hurt. |

Took the same hill today on the Trek with the studded snows, still slick but being more accustomed to the DF, no sliding involved. (I've only got about 450 miles on the 'bent since new in Sept.) It'll all be snow covered again soon. |
