Slippery roads
Our first snow of the year in the Piedmont area of NC. Just a couple inches around here but we'll take any of the wet stuff we can get since we're still sorely behind on annual rainfall. Roads might be slippery in the morning until it warms up for bikes though.

Postcard! Is that your pad? That's mountain bike weather, unless it warms up and gets slushy.

That's like a postcard, it's so pretty!
Nice house, too. |
You have the makings of a great Christmas or Holiday card for next year. Nice picture!

Not surprised it will be slippery- one slight fall of snow in an area likes yours and I doubt if the County even knows what a snow plough is- Let alone a gritter!!!!
We had several years where Frost was not hitting so the County Council didn't buy any salt for the roads. They had plenty left over from previous years. Problem was the Summer rains had washed it all away from the amalgum they use on the roads. All it was- was a collection of grit and sand that had no effect on Ice whatsoever. So whats it like riding in the "Cool" Weather? |
My favorite kind of house. It's the style that really says "home forever" to me.

Looks like more is coming. At least its water which will do you some good.

Yep-started as a lot of rain and now it's been snowing pretty hard for about 3 hours. No accumulation though. We got about 1-1.5 inches of equivalent rain on Thursday. If we can get close to that today and tonight it will really help. We need about 12-15 more of these events before hot weather this summer to keep us from imposing even tougher drought restrictions.
