Helmet ?
I have a Giro Transfer That I like ok But thought I might upgrade. What is the differance in a $30.00 helmet and a $130.00 helmet? It must be something I can't see.

$100 worth of hype in most cases. In some cases suspension, airflow, and hardware might make it actually worth a few dollars more.

I'll offer an alternative opinion. I had a $30 helmet. I wore it for a long time and never crashed. However, during a cycling event, there was a "helmet fitting workshop" at one of the rest stops. They couldn't get my helmet to fit right. No matter what they did, it slid around too much on my head. Now I've got a $100 helmet. It's snug without being too tight. The sizing straps--or whatever they're called--are much more adjustable and easy to work with. I'm not saying the matter between my ears is worth an extra $70, but that's another story.
To make sure you get a good fit, I'd say try before you buy.

I agree. But my helmet fits well and I think I'll keep it and my $100.00.

Yes definitely buy one that fits properly. It usually doesn't need to be an expensive model to achieve good fit though.
