Methinks some are looking at this picture and not seeing that these guys are inspecting a bike tube.

Did you know that people who are ambidextrous disproportionately suffer from anxiety? Canines, too.
Just because things are duplicated on both sides of the brain doesn't mean that traditional generalizations aren't valid... I don't think we're anywhere near even beginning to grasp what the brain is all about. Maybe we're totally wrong about everything...

How many 50+ers does it take to fix a flat?

The guy on the right looks like he might be sniffing it. The guy on the left looks like he might have his mouth on it. Do they need bifocals? Why else would their faces be so close to a tube?

They're trying to find the hole. I've found the easiest way to find a hole if you don't have a tub to dunk the tube is to put a bit of air in the tube and work your way around it, feeling for air escaping with your cheeks or lips. Of course this means holding it very close to your face.

The plane ticket to join your old riding buddies: $400.
The new jacket needed to ride in the cold with them: $125
A new inner tube: $2.50
Watching your cheap buddies try to salvage a tube: Priceless.

The thing that gets me is that they're running their mouths three abreast as they climb blind curves on what looks like the Western Divide. Then they all queue up at the toilet. We're supposed to believe it's all good clean comraderie among the Easily Urinating Set. I'm thinking that's what they're doing in Hell this evening; I'll give THAT group a miss!

We patch our tubes as many times as we think we can safely get away with it. I can relate, and it's funny, too.
Good one!
