Jump on the back?

The ride this morning was not supposed to be too bad- except there was not supposed to be a wind. Someone Lied. 20 mph on the exposed bits and I only found it on the long drag that I am not too keen on in any case. But down to the cafe and coffee and pie but on the way down saw another elderly rider on a decent bike- Came across him at a Junction but we went our separate ways so all I did was saw him. At the cafe-Saw my mountain biking mates so Picture of them and their dirty bikes. One had to have ride on the TCR but he reckons these road bikes are too easy to ride. Why do you think I am cutting out Mountain bikes? Then just as I was about to go- The rider I saw earlier turned up. Turns out he lives in the same town as me and just round the corner. Just had to take a pic of his bike-a Bottecchia. No idea what model but he has had it for 16 years from new and it is still his ride of choice. Quick chat then up the Zigzags and they were easier this morning. Across the top and the TCR finally got some speed. Up the 16%er and turn round at the top as I ought to get some Mind numbing riding in up the 5% for 2 miles. I hate this hill. It just goes on and on and---. Hated it even more today- a 20 mph headwind. Saw plenty of other cyclist's coming the other way- they had obviously sussed the wind before starting out. One thing I noted was that most of the other riders were more mature-- Wonder where the youngsters are this morning? Not long before I found out as a 25year old steamed past me- Then another and then the rest of the club group out on a speed Run. One of them yelled to tag on- No- way. I was struggling at around 10mph and they were doing at least 15. By the time I got speed up to tag on- they were gone.

This was the first ride in ages where I haven't been rained on- Blown off the bike or Frozen-Or all 3 at once- In ages. Made a pleasnt change to get a decent ride in but that sun certainly brings out the Riders. And the jersey got an airing too.
