My ride today:
The Good: Sunny outside, no ice on streets, 37F, wind 10 MPH from NW
The Bad: I knew it was going to be bad riding home as I was pedaling up a 2% incline at 22 mph which I regularly do at 17 or so. Well it was, that was a head wind on the way home which had increased to 15-18 mph. And the temp dropped about 4 degrees to 33F
The Ugly: There was a strange shift in the wind for about a mile of my ride. At my turnaround point, there is a 1/2 mile 4% hill. It seemed (on the way up) that the wind had shifted. On the way down it was flat out hard to keep any speed. Garmin 305 said: RPM, 81: HR 158 bpm (about 98% of my LT this time of year): speed 13.4 mph. That half mile down the 4% hill was brutal. Then the wind changed back the the NW and the rest of the ride was as described above.
