    Glove tan this early?

We had a couple of really nice days here this past week. I've had some trouble with my business, chained to my desk most days, so I couldn't get out as much as I wanted to. But I did get out for a couple of one-hour head-clearing rides. Wore my half-finger gloves and short sleeves both times. Didn't think anything of it, it was just nice to feel the levers and bar tape after six months.

So today I was at my PT job, washing up for lunch and 'lo! I have the beginnings of this season's glove tan!

It's sure to fade since we have a few days of April showers in the forecast, but what a treat to see.

(Yes, I know about skin cancer and getting wrinkly and that I really should be appalled by anything other than the Rochester pallor. Just give me this.)

After the winter we have had- It can't be sun tan- I would check out the bars on the bike to see if they are steel. I reckon it could be rust.
How long was I in the army? Five foot seven.

I wear a Garmin Forerunner 305 on my wrist. That makes for some great conversation-starter tans

And yes, I have a good one going already.

stapfam: Hmmm. Maybe it's not tan. I could be rusting...

ad9mj: No, actually it's just my pallor gets darker in summer. This time of year I don't need reflectors after dark. My pasty white calves are just fine.

JT: The cranial leopard spots are why I use a skullcap.

I bought a skullcap. My female cycling buddy called it "birth control."

No more glove tan for me...............the new specialized gloves don't have that hole in the back. I guess I'll just have to settle for the 2 horns in front from the large slots in the helmet.

    Yea...........helmet tan..................the new glove tan.
