Momma said they'd be days like this......

Was out of town the past couple days in the NC foothills. Did a nice 50 mile ride Wednesday pm that had a 13 mile climb-weather in NC was just perfect for riding.

Stupid, stupid, stupid

Had customer meetings this morning and played golf afterwards. Drove 90 miles back home. Looked in the back of the van and the golf clubs were not in the van. I had left them sitting behind the van out in the parking lot at the golf course........I can't imagine how I didn't run over them. This is the second time in 2 year I've left my clubs somewhere sitting in a parking lot. Now I have to drive the 180 miles to get my clubs back........

The grass needed mowing so filled 'er up with gas, cranked it up and started mowing. Two passes and the engine stalls. Not good. The motor has seized up and the mower will be sitting out for the trash truck tomorrow. Went to get a new mower and none in stock-will have it in 7 days........

Then I went up on the roof to replace to missing shingles..........At least I had my cell phone on the roof with me to call my son to help me get back down!!!

I'm thinking of strapping myself into bed just to make sure I don't fall out of bed tonight.........

Kinda sounds like Bikes are your THING, nothin' else seems to go too well.

Um, you did bring the bike back home with you, right?

I noticed a trend there. It seems that none of the bad things had anything to do with bicycles...

Just shows that you should not let golf and house chores get in the way of more biking. I assume that all this riding is to get ready for Mountains of Misery next month?

Hope today is better and includes a nice ride.

+1 See what happens when cycling isn't the highest priority?
