An easy SoCal ride -- who's doing it?

As mentioned in my other thread ("What was I thinking???") we registered for the City of Angels Fun Ride on May 4 to benefit Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Bloodmobile Fund. There are two rides -- the "moderate" 34 recreational ride, and the "difficult" 47-mile advanced ride with more climbing. We chose the recreational ride due to being off the bike and not quite ready for anything described as "advanced".

I'd love to meet some of you locals and ride together. It will be slow by most of our standards (10-12 mph) but with rolling LAPD motor support as we had on the memorial ride in February. It's not often you get to ride with full police escort and never have to stop for a light. It's an experience to savor.

And I need a witness (other than Hubby) to say "Yeh, Jen wasn't kidding.... that's one tough hill!".

Hi Yen, nice to see you back in good spirit. I was planning to do the easy ride but my son is playing in a concert that afternoon, I don't want to take any chances missing his concert. Hopefully, the next ride will not have any schedule conflict. Have fun with your ride & hope you make some friends there.

That sounds like fun Yen, but I'm busy that Sunday as well. Are you an LA county resident?

JetWave: You've made the right choice.

Mark: Yes, I'm in LA county.
