Anybody here ever done Road 1?
Road 1 is the basic skills development course offered by the League of American Bicyclists. I went through the on-bike part of it this morning, and really enjoyed the experience. We practiced bike handling skills, and League Certified Instructors critiqued our riding through neighborhoods and downtown. While I didn't learn any new skills, we did have ample time to practice important riding techniques, like panic stops and "instant" right turns. If you're relatively new to biking, I recommend you find one in your area, and take it.
