Never jump out of a perfectly good airplane - with or without a chute
Never bungee jumped - No desire
Never rode a bull - bulls are made for breeding not riding
Never made it to the top of Mt. Rainier - tried
Never been ice climbing
Never rock climbed in Yosemite

I would like to:

Race in a xc mountain bike race
Race in a bicycle road race
Fly a real fighter in a real dog fight (flown a lot of simulators)
Bicycle Tour in India
Bicycle Tour down the Yangtze River in China
Visit Costa Rica - Bicycle Tour
Go Bow Hunting for a Grizzlie (Longbow Only)
Last but not least - Reconcile my marriage (Just keep praying!)

My life's ambition was to:

Walk 47 miles of barbed wire,
Use a cobra snake for a neck tie.
Get a brand new house on the roadside,
Made out of rattlesnake hide.
Put a brand new chimbley up on top,
Made out of human skulls.
Find a darling to take a little walk and tell me,
Who do you love?

Sadly, none of these ambitions ever amounted to Diddley.

I've never rolled my truck or spent the night in a high class New Orleans bordello.

I have always been intimidated by self-supported bicycle touring. You are all alone in an unfamiliar place with only your bicycle and the things you can fit in your panniers, and could be faced with bad weather, mechanical problems, and could run out of energy before you find a place for the night. I have now toured 3 times in Europe and 7 times here in North America, sometimes solo and sometimes with a friend, but I continue to feel intimidated. However I adopted the motto "I would rather regret what I did do than regret what I didn't do", and that helps me overcome my concerns. For the record I have been rained on, had mechanical problems, and had difficulty finding a place for the night, but I always overcame the adversity and never regretted the trips.

Now I need to get the courage to grow my hair into dreadlocks. Always thought they were cool.

This is a bit like "never jumped out of a plane with a parachute". What class bordello have you visited?

Me, too. And a tiny, tiny earring in the nose, hidden in that little crevice.

Anyone planning on getting their first tatoo anytime soon?

Has anyone made acorn bread?

I got my tattoos when I was just a kid of 61 but I've never had an earring.
I've made pumpkin bread.

I've never skied - water or snow
I've never been to the Gimbel's parade on Thanksgiving even though I lived in the Philly suburbs for several years.
I've never been to a rodeo.
I've never been to the Statue of Liberty but I have been to the Empire State Building.
I've never won the lottery. $2.00 doesn't count.
I've never been to Yellowstone.
I've never seen Monticello but plan on remedying that this summer.
I've never hiked on Mt. Ranier during the 3 years I lived in Olympia.
I've never ridden a horse. What's it like?

I tried that one night after a 14 hour shift. It was a VW van actually. I swerved to avoid a cat. But in trying to straighten it out, each time I countersteered it added the force to the sway, and finally I was moving at about 45 degrees off the direction the van was pointing and I lost traction. The van went on its side and up on to the roof. The rain gutter scraping the road put up a rooster tail of sparks a few inches from my face as I hung upside down. Quite an E ticket ride.

But I was very lucky. I wore my seatbelt. If I hadn't had it on, I would have been flying around the cab and its very likely that that would have pushed the van over into a full 360 degree roll. And I'm guessing it would have been fatal. As it was, after everything stopped, I climbed out of the passenger door and stepped onto the side of the van and then hopped down.

One side of the van was completely flat, though none of the windows broke. The tow truck was able to right it back on its wheels. The police were merciful and no charges were pressed. But sadly, the engine hatch was jammed closed. I drove it till it really needed a tuneup and popped a valve.

An E ticket ride, but not worth the cost.

Ick ick ick!

Piercings and tattoos. Can't even look at them without getting the whams. Seriously. We had a student employee in one of the groups that reports to me that had those large 1/4" holes with metal rims in their ears. I avoided encountering her like she had the plague. Not saying that they are wrong for anyone to get, they are just wrong for me to look at.

Riding a horse is remarkably fun. I always thought it looked kind of boring, unless you were being chased by bad guys or rogue sheriffs with rifles. It's very subtle and you really learn new things about balance and muscles, as well as horses themselves. Whenever I saw people riding horses on trails, it always looked like big toothy mobile arm chairs to me. Now I understand it's way* more than that.

When I was a kid, I always thought of my bike as my horse.

I don't have the right face for that little tiny nose earring. But I do think they're cool, when they're so small you have to really look to see what just sparkled.

I'll never get a tatoo, but if I did, I'd get one that looks just like a bandaid, and put it on my knee where I have a scar from childhood.

Want to do ;
long bike tour - would like to go from KY to FL soon as i permanently return to US.
revisit Viet Nam - got this planned for year end. BTWW - won't be able to see old contacts as those I made contact with are already dead
see my Grandkids go to college.

The Tour around Lake Arenal is great, and good places to refuel along the way. Since we have a pretty large staff (47 at last payroll), I can arrange to have support through the whole thing. Just get yourself here and we can go.

If fact, it would be fun as a group to do this. I know my way around, everyone knows me in this neck of the jungle (and actually likes me which is a wonder...) and my Spanish is very good.

Either of these would probably hide the scar.

I rode horses in summer camp as a kid. But nothing prepared me for the first time that a horse decided to gallop with me on its back. Whoa! It's completely different than the typical trail ride. Like riding a fast motorcycle with a mind of its own.

Wait till you are on a horse that decides it doesn't want to get its feet wet by wading through a stream, and bolts for the stream and leaps 15 feet, with you still hopefully on its back!
