As stated so many times before, it all depends. Normally, I know when I go to a ride if it will have a long stop. I am not a big fan of long stops, but it can be OK with a good group. If you do not like long stops, do not attend rides with long stops. I agree with warming up again, which I find even more difficult than the original warm up.

If I am doing some serious riding I stay at it. Never stop till your done.
Breakfast runs are a different thing. I get up early every morning and love my breakfast run to a cafe where all us retired guys and gals hangout. I'm never worried about how long I'm there.
