I just can't get the "Insert Image" icon to work. I have the photos on PhotoBucket. The only success I've had posting pictures is by using the "Manage Attachments" button

When you paste in the url, does it have a .jpg at the end? If not, you need to add it.

One post above indicated "photobucket". Is that what you think you are using?

When you right click on the red box and choose properties, it is showing "picassaweb.google". I didn't past it because it probable would create another red box rather than show the actual text. Right click/properties and you will see the actual link path. Personally, I trashed picassa because it felt it needed to take over everything for every photo related software. That may be your problem.

I tried PhotoBucket and Picasa I have to be doing something wrong but I just haven't figured out what, yet.

Doesn't work for me either.... suspect the problem is at photobucket.

Beverly,
Under the thumbnail of your photo in Photobucket you will see 4 boxes with code in them. The bottom box is labeled "IMG Code". Click in that box and copy the code (right click, copy). Paste the code in your message here. That should do it.

Just trying it myself, my 1980 Masi Gran Criterium.

Edit: Ok, the Insert Image icon did not work!

Well, I got a thumbnail! Used "Manage Attachments." It's still too low a resolution.

Beverly,
Did you try what I suggested above? PM me if you are still having trouble. Once you learn how, posting pictures from photobucket is easy.

There's a 100kb limit? The photo I tried to post -no larger than many I've seen posted here- is 88kb
So, I guess I need to really drop down the picture quality?
