Got my new bike today!

After months of lusting, I took the plunge and got a 2008 Specialized Roubaix Elite Triple. Carbon everything, zertz everywhere, beautiful, light......sigh. Yes, my lust has turned to love and I couldn't be happier. I had a great bike store experience too, which was good since I had to travel 2 hours to get to the bike store. They did measuring, fitting, tweaking, swapping, extended test ride and gave me a good price to boot. And before anybody says anything, I'm aware of the photo rule so I will be posting pictures soon.

It's gonna be a great ride. I will probably convert mine from a compact double to a triple sometime this summer.

Actually, the bike does not yet exist, because he did not post a photo of it.

Proof is necessary- but it should really be an action picture. Either the entry into Club Tombay- or first climb up the 15% for 3 miles.

It would take me 1/2 hour to climb 3 miles @ 15%.

Here is a photo of the new bike. By the way, it's a 2007, not a 2008. That explains the great deal I got on it!

All of these new emoticons and no green-with-envy emoticon! If we had one, I'd post it.

New new bike!

Photo is still way too small. It looks great from what I could see, though.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to make it bigger. Any tips?

Take it you have it in your documents file and hope you have XP. Open the folder and there will be a menu on the left- one of which is "E-Mail this pic". E-Mail it and providing it is below 100? bs when it opens up in a new e-mail- open it and "save as" (What ever you want to name it) in a new folder. I keep a special E-Mail folder for 50+ and all the pictures in it can be attached to a posting

And it is one of the rules that you have to get pics of new bikes against the garage door. Unless the door is not wide enough.

Then we can see how well you maintain the door and hence what your Painting skills are like
