How do I get a thread moved?

I'm thinking the "Good cheap cables at Walmart" thread would fit better here in 50+.

It's about 3 pages long and has politics, social commentaries, and enough general faffling to be a 50+ thread. The only thing it's missing is some kind of pie reference. It would also be only fair because it would equalize out their stealing our torque wrench thread.

You will need a coterie consensus.

At least 30 50+ members will have to request the move. Unless pie is involved, in which case 20 members will do.

Thanks .

A lot of 50+ers go to wallie world so this might,,,just might,,,be appropriate. OTOH there are things here in 50+ that are not appropriate... but I will not go there.

What's a coterie? Is that one of those words that might get me banned?

No, it's not a word that will get you banned.

coterie: an intimate and often exclusive group of persons with a unifying common interest or purpose. To me, this sounds like the perfect BF member.............any BF member. One would however have to clarify the nuances of "intimate", "exclusive", "unifying" and possibly even "often" before proceeding to make any absolute determinations about that viewpoint. For example, to many, it would appear that in the 50+ subset of BF the most common unifying interest is diversity.

Where is that thread now?

We could always just duplicate it here ... and add our own 50+ spin to it.

I only have two members still who want the thread duplicated here. Any more takers?

I hope I'm not one of the two votes. When I wrote "duplicate" I meant that we could start our own.

A moderator can move the thread into this forum without a redirect then move it back to the original forum with a redirect. This produces a link to the original thread in 50+. East Hill will be owed a pie of her choice from the requester...
