Way Cool !!!!!
I was sitting in my Tacoma with my daughter at a red light this morning on
our way back home from delivering her car to it's new owner, when we saw a new Whizzer go by. He started up by pedaling and then let the small motor take over. My daughter has a Yamaha Sport Motorcycle and her Boyfreind has a large Cruiser style Motorcycle, and even she thought the Whizzer was pretty neat, especially if it really gets the 120 mpg that is advertised. Happy Trails |
At my age, I'm not sure I want to ride something called a Whizzer. :D

Anyone know if they hve two stroke engines, where you mix equal parts gas and Flomax?
|
I recall seeing things like this on occassion back in the 60's sometime/where. Pedals and a tiny motor. Brain's all locked up or I could think of the name. At any rate, I expect we'll be seeing more and more options for personal transportation in the next few years.

Those are cute. I can hang with one of those. :)

Maybe you should just get one of these: http://www.happyscooters.com/120W-24...-50-16fg2.html
Way greener than the Whizzer but I am not sure where the heck the battery is or the range of travel on a charge. |
There are a lot of neat electric motor bike options. Bikes built to be electric assist, other options for retrofitting regular bikes.
The new Giant Twist Freedom DX cost $2000 and has a range of up to 75 miles, in electric assist mode. Where you pedal and it adds force to each stroke. Perfectly allowable in bike lanes and on bike trails too. http://www.treehugger.com/files/2008...ctric-bike.php |
I pretty much categorize them right there along with fat girls.
Fun to ride until your friends catch you doing it ! -R |
