60+er Fit for riding again.

Ever since the beginning of April- I have had an impending medical condition that has kept me off the bike. Have been able to do a couple of rides but tonight I can celebrate. The threat of disablement has passed. The wife has put away the cricket bat as the Pool is finished. Still a couple of minor things to do but as I am still waiting for the electrician to do his stuff- I am in the clear till he has finished.

Just my luck though as it is now raining and looks set for the next couple of days. Had a bit of a celebration as The "OLD" Charcoal B-B-Q will be in the way of phase two of the decking so a nice large top of the range Gas version turned up on Monday. Don't know how much it cost me yet- but it is the wifes present to me for agreeing that the decking has to be made larger--Next Year.

So digging out the Goretex- if I can remember where I left it and just a gentle 30 miler on the flat planned for tomorrow. So expect the pic of a soggy piece of PIE and a shattered looking rider in the near future

Glad all is well and you can resume riding, stap. Good job on the pool and deck.

I saw some pictures on TV today from England...people dressed in winter clothing watching a golf match. Are you folks having a cold spell?

Pool & deck look great.

I've got some porch flooring that's wanting
replacement, any chance you'll be pedaling by these parts any time
soon? I've got some nice Canadian Ale in the fridge. I had to ask.

The Golf is in Scotland-about 600 miles North of here. In the South East we have it at around 70 to 80 but not much sun

I'll let your wife know where to get a cricket bat.

That is the roller for the Pool cover.

The rain is expected later today so I had better be out by 10.

Edit

Pic of Phase 2 for next year. Not so much decking to do but a heck of a lot more groundwork. Wonder if I can work a door from the bike shed so I have somewhere to clean the bikes on!! (Can see the cricket bat coming out again if I do)

Or water slide.

Stap -- great job. I'm very impressed. And that was a mighty nice gift from your wife -- she obviously appreciates your sacrifice and hard work.

Now get out there and ride and post the pics of the soggy pie.

That's a great looking pool

Glad you were able to complete it and avoid the cricket bat

Where were you all-Laid on the steaks- got a few extra beers in and opened some very good bottles of Bordeaux. Don't know about the pool but the BBQ works and the deck has not moved.

Todays ride will have to be taken at a steady pace though- just so I can really hear the drums that are pounding in my head this morning.
