LOOK KEO Recall

I posted this in the road cycling forum as well, but I wanted to make sure my over 50 group was aware of this as well. {see link below}
I have a set of the carbon pedals on my Scott CR1
Don't want any one hurt.

Thanks for the info. Just bought a new pair of Keo Sprints and wasn't aware to this recall. They haven't been installed yet, so I'll check the date of manufacture. I think I'm beyond the targeted date, so I should be alright. Still, good info to know beforehand. Thanks again!

BLIZZ, you might want to edit your original post with the Look page regarding the recall:

https://www.lookcycle-usa.com/keoupgrade/

They have more details there.

Much thanks to Blizz for getting the news out. I just looked on the Look web site and did not find any notice for this recall. The link given is for the USCPSC and it is interesting to note it is dated today, Aug. 5th. Therefore, I assume this is news right off the press.

As luck would have it, I just ordered a new set of Keo Carbons as my pair had bearing problems in one of the pedals. I will be taking back my old pair to my LBS where they were purchased from a couple of years ago. I may or may not send back the just ordered pair.

Thanks. I just checked the date on mine and they are 2007s. So they should be good. It strikes me that 14 breaks in 40,000 pairs of pedals is not all that many.... unless you were one of the 14.

Blizz - thanks for the post. I have two sets of Keo's (Classics and Sprints) and the Sprints on the road bike (which I use more often) are indeed subject to the recall. I wouldn't have known about the recall except for your post so you've done a good deed. They're already off the bike.

Thanks again.
