Incredible biking weather

Our last 5 days have had highs ranging from 75 to 81, and night time lows have been in the 50s.

The 10-day forecast for the Madison, WI area has every high predicted to be from 77 to 80, and every low from 56 to 59.

Absolutely perfect. We deserve this after what nature laid on our doorstep this past winter.

I've gotten out for a ride on each of the past 3 days.

Hope things are good for many of you too.

The forecast high is no greater than 85 for the next ten days, with lows to match. It's been that way here since Friday. An incredible stretch of August weather here in SWMO.

DC has been great also. We are normally in the mid 90s with high humidity this time of year. This morning was in the 70s and dry. Beautiful.

Ours has absolutely sucked the last 4 days, nothing but rain and lightning and the next 4 days predict the same. The temp has been great, low 70's, looks like it's drying a little now so I hope to get out tonight. I can tolerate the rain but not getting zapped!

Just now, 42 Centigrade, 75 % humidity, apparent heat (combination of heat and humidity giving a product value just like 'wind chill' at low temperatures) 52 Centigrade

I just came in from an after work 30km in just under the hour. (Flat smooth roads, not too much wind, slight increasing tailwind on the return half).

I'm hardly chilly at all

I was getting something out of my cycle bag, yesterday evening, and noticed my arm warmers and a pair of tights in the bag. It's been a long while since I needed those things but it wont be long before I'll need them again. I love summer and even reminded myself of that while trying to convince myself to do the 8th and final 4 minute interval. Summer won out, and I started to soft pedal home a little earlier while enjoying a beautiful day and the sounds and smells of the country side.

Same thing down here Tom, beautiful weather and I'm finally able to take advantage of it. Between work and other commitments I took my first ride in three weeks last night. I could only ride for about an hour before dark, but the weather was just incredible. I plan to ride nearly every day for the next few weeks and (hopefully) get my laegs back under me for our local century ride in September.

It seems like we've been getting a steady diet of afternoon thunderstorms and veritable cloudbursts for the last 2 weeks or more. Fortunately I have been doing all my riding before noon time.

What? Talking about winter, already?
Winter's waaaay off. Don't forget Autumn.
I'm just enjoying these cooler temps we're getting now and also looking forward to my first ever fall biking season w/o work.
Then I'm gonna HTFU and do some winter riding, too.

Enjoy every ride!

It seems like most days this past month have been lovely. (unlike early in the summer when it was so wet) but unfortunately for me, I've been laid low with a virus for the past month too and haven't been able to ride (or garden, or even do much housework). So I am really hoping that we have a long warm & dry autumn that will let me get in the riding that I had planned.

Yes, me too. I have hopes of getting out several times between now and the end of October. While I described 77-80 as being "perfect, " I did so because it is perfect for many people and it is so nice to be in the 70s during the summer. But personally, I like 70 even better. And 65 is quite nice. I love riding in the autumn. Give me a couple of dry, light winds days in the 60s, where I can ride all day, stay at a cheap motel, and ride back the next day and I'm in heaven.

Isn't that like 107 Fahrenheit? Thatb sounds like riding in a Sauna. 52 is something like 125 isn't it?

Our mornings have been great. Late Afternoon has been nice but the middle of the day has been pretty warm. Today it was about 100 with no wind.

Around here (western mass) we have had thunder storms almost every afternoon for weeks now. Disrupts everything. On one ride a couple weeks ago, finished up the last three miles in driving rain, with thunder and lightning. Didn't like it, but had to finish the ride. Forecast for today is mid 80's and clear, then tomorrow, back to the storms. Yuk.

It's been beautiful here in Louisville, KY. Highs have been in 80's and the mornings have been upper 50's. I have got to try to take advantage of it and sneak some more rides in before this streak of great weather ends, figure it's way too nice to stay like this!

My wife and I attended the Midwest Recumbent Rally in Stevvens Point, WI over the weekend and the weather was absolutely stupendous. It was three days of beautiful riding under blue skies with nice fluffy clouds and perfect temps.

Yeah, what's with this August weather? I've had to pull out the arm warmers for a couple rides that started at 8:00 AM. I love the low 80's in the afternoon instead of the blistering 90's

Lovely weather here in SoCal too, with temps about 10 deg.F below normal for summer. Highs in the mid-80's and lows in the low 70's in Whittier (about 16 miles inland).

Now is the time of year all of you can gloat about your weather vs. ours in sunny Fla. It's hot and humid in the morning, and it's blistering hot and humid in the afternoon. I stopped on the side of the road out at the beach this weekend for about two minutes, and instantly there was about 15 mosquitos on my leg. I'm lookng forward to October.
