Getting faster in my old age

I never have been a great down hiller, speed scares me, at least it use to. For the longest time if I hit 20 mph I thought that was good for me. Well today I hit an all time fastest land speed record (for me) 34.6 mph. I know that's not fast for a lot of you, but for me--never thought I would do it. Didn't hold it but for a second or two but at least I got there. Of course the roadie that was behind me zipped by me at about 45 mph. Just happen to find a nice smooth down hill with little traffic and no chance of getting T-boned. Last time I went down this hill I got up to 29.9 mph and was a little disappointed that I didn't hit 30. That helps my confidence a lot.

If you get the thrill at 20mph or 45mph. As long as you are getting a thrill out of it is all that matters.

If you can find fresh asphalt on a car free road speed is a wonderful thing, as I posted earlier in the week - I hit 48.6 this week.
