I always strive to keep the goods contained within the shorts while cycling. It's the decent thing to do.

I know. And now I have this image of a newbie reading this thread and reaching over for some stick pins.

I just came back from a nice night ride, my junk never got in the way once.
I ride in a more upright style, so that's probably why...

I haven't found anyone still making those saddles - at least not in leather. Still see some cheap knockoffs with vinyl. I have an old Schwinn something like that, picked it up for $1 at a swap meet.

pinned, pin·ning, pins
1. To fasten or secure with or as if with a pin or pins.
2. To transfix.
3. To place in a position of trusting dependence: He pinned his faith on an absurdity.
4. a. To hold fast; immobilize: The passenger was pinned under the wreckage of the truck.
b. Sports To win a fall from in wrestling.

5. To give (a woman) a fraternity pin in token of attachment

Y'all need to get a better appreciation of the rich and varied forms of the english language!..

I turn the seat about a 1/4 inch to the right.

Works for me.

Safety Pins don't hurt at All when you are numb.
I use Velcro Strips when I have some feelings.

You've had the usual and amusing mixture of good advice and good natured joshing. This is in the latter category.

No-one's mentioned the systematic abuse of steroids. You'll go faster, and you'll only have to accomodate two acorns and another acorn.

Glad to help

I recently read that most males have one side of their scrotum that is lower than the other side. Turning the saddle ever so slightly toward the shorter side tends to provide just a bit more room. I've adjusted all of my saddles this way and it seems to provide some advantage. The adjustments for me were about 1/8 of an inch. Little changes often yield big rewards.

Same for me. That's why I don't take any of those enlargement pills. At my age it would just get in the way.

Why would a pin be a problem. He could just put it through the ring he got when he got the piercing.

I expect many 50+'ers to go retro and use the old-fashioned clothes pin.

Hey it could be a seat position issue

HI,
I had a new mountian bike with a great v seat, but the nose piece was a wee bit to high and actually cause some pain in the tubing., I slid the seat forward and inch or two and this helped some,
I then ordered a B17 and the seat seems to flex just enough to allow the pelvic bones on both side in the back of the seat very little contact in the middle or front..to take most of the pressure off the soft parts., I believe this is a more normal bike position to prevent that numbing effect. And the flexing of the B17 is almost like a hammock to under parts.
Ride someones bike with a good b17 and see if it dosen't feel real good to the under carriage. it was worth every penny I paid for it, I have three extra seats I dont use now cause Iam stuck on a Brooks.
And my candy ars will not take another foam seat with synthetic leather.
DOug
