Now Part of the Cervelo Family - P3C Track

A couple weeks ago I borrowed my friend's Cervelo P3C track bike and rode it to victory in the 2K pursuit Masters Track Championships. I am committed to track racing and decided to buy the same frame. Cupertino Bike Shop had a small (51 cm) in stock and had a special where $300 of the sales price is donated to the local Hellyer Velodrome in San Jose, CA. Hermes and I are in the process of building it up so that it is customized for me. Photos of complete bike to follow. I am happy to be part of the Cervelo family!

nice can't wait to see it built I love the looks of a track bike they are so pure and simple.I just got a trek t1 about a month ago its my road bike. I wish there was a velodrome near me but the closest is about 300 mi so I will just ride on the rode.I just ordered another sprocket going to drop the gearing from 85" to 75".I plan to expand my riding area and the hills get bigger and walking sucks.

Congrats on your new acquisition! As Yen said, "N+1 -- it never ends."

Looking forward to pics of the finished bike.

Ever so cool! Here's to a few wins on the new frame (after wheels and such are added)

Almost related: Did you know there will be a pro team sponsored by, and named Cervelo in the upcoming year?

Here is a pic of the frame in front of the garage door.

It is pretty easy to finish the build. Easton Aerobars, Easton EC90 track bar, Sugino 75 cranks and bottom bracket and front trispoke and rear disc for racing. A set of most anything wheels for training.

However, at the track gearing is anything but simple. We are getting 47.48 and 49 chain rings and 14, 15 and 16 rear gears to start. Fine adjustments are made by changing chain rings. 49/14 will give her 32.8 mph at 120 cadence.
