11 more windows and I'm riding!

I work in local government and we have a holiday today. My lovely wife is a teacher and is at school, she gets Friday off and is planning to go antiquing with some of her teacher friends. As predicted, she said it's too bad that she had to work today because the windows need washed. I don't recall her ever washing the windows but she shouldn't be climbing ladders while I'm out riding. Thirty 33 years of being married has trained,...err, taught me well. So, as soon as she left for teaching today I began cleaning the 48 windows, doors and sidelights, both inside and out I just stopped for lunch and am taking my "allotted break" while I plan my ride on a lovely warm fall day here in Ohio. Only 11 more windows to do, then rinse the screens and put them away then it's done for 6 months! I'm planning an nice 40+ ride by going West to the flatland's of Lorain County.

Well good luck and hope you have a good ride, but make sure you get the windows done right.

1:44PM and I'm done! The windows are sparkling. I've also got dinner going. It's going to be a great ride.

Perhaps the wife should not be climbing ladders while you are out riding- But Neither should you be getting Vertigo while she is out earning the funds for your new bike.

Wait till she has a day off and get a neighbour round. Then she can clean the windows in safety and you can go and ride.

Time to get new windows. New ones can be taken out of the frame from the inside.

Is that 48 windows, or 48 panes of glass? If you're house has 48 windows,
I think the groundskeeper should clean them under the supervision of
the Butler!

Unfortunately, it's 49 once I added the basement windows under the deck! I'm counting the double hungs as 1 window. Because "it didn't happen if there are no pictures" here is some proof. The rest are on either side of the home. That's what happens when you let the wife hire an architect to design your house. BTW, the Groundskeeper did clean the windows. Most importantly, he got 42.3 miles riding in.

Nice looking place you've got there Mr. Jet, and a beautiful deck.

I posted pics of my decking and I was proud of that. I have a couple of points though. Over here we would not dream of building a wooden house. It has to be brick to even get a mortgage. Hence the higher cost of homes over here I suppose. And that Lawn---- time to get the Mower serviced. Take it that it is a ride on- but leaving the clippings on the lawn is not a good sign. Time to stop the under- gardener from doing the fun jobs. Get her on weeding the flower beds instead.

I mowed last Thrusday! The fall rains and the fertilizer have taken control of my lawn I'm trying to keep up, really. I use a walk behind 48" Skag mower, I only ride my bike.

I didn't realize you lived near Lorain County. I grew up in New London, in Huron County. Are you near there?

And by the way, Bluetail, "windows need washed" is purely an Ohioism.

Bluetail, I'm from Ellwood City, about 30 miles North of the "Burgh", nice call!

Kerlenbach, I currently live about 30 table top flat miles East of New London. East of us is the hilly area of NE Ohio.

Youinze guys are both right.
