Are Oxford Dons Swiping Material from the 50+ Forum?

Here, direct from Oxford University, are the top 10 irritating phrases in use today.

1 - At the end of the day
    2 - Fairly unique
    3 - I personally
4 - At this moment in time
5 - With all due respect
    6 - Absolutely
    7 - It's a nightmare
    8 - Shouldn't of
    9 - 24/7
    10 - It's not rocket science

With all due respect, I personally recall like a similar list was recently compiled on this very forum. At the end of day, or at least at this moment in time I absolutely shouldn't of even mentioned it. After all the English language isn't rocket science. It's a nightmare.

This sort of post makes me realize this place is fairly unique, 24/7.

JT, it is so great when you interface with us in this manner. You must be searching the internet 24/7. At the end of the day, I, personally, and absolutely, appreciate your fairly unique contribution.

At the end of the day, I personally think that our forum is fairly unique. With all due respect, it's not rocket science, but Oxford shouldn't of ripped us off at this moment in time. We're absolutely vulnerable, since we're open 7/24, and it's a nightmare.

There are a number of phrases borrowed from the military now in everyday speak. One can think of right now is "deploy", used in business often.

There's a story about a group of consultants who heard the phrase "It's not brain surgery" frequently. So, they decided to talk with some brain surgeons and ask what they said when something wasn't very difficult. The answer from the brain surgeons? "It's not rocket science."

    Are you lucky!

If you had gone to school with me Sister Mary St. Erna would have slapped your hands with a ruler.

You absolutely shouldn't HAVE even mentioned it.
