***** More on interesting posts to help stapfam

***** More on interesting posts to help Stapfam

I suggest that when posting a new thread, the OP should rate the thread/post by placing asterisks before the title.

Use this scale:

* - Dull Post

** - Sort of Interesting Post

*** - Interesting Post

**** - Very Interesting Post

***** - I can't contain myself

XXX - Well, you all know that one.

That way, Stapfam can sort the posts, and read only the most interesting posts.

You notice this one is rated *****

Yes, good suggestion - but without calibration to the Bike International Forums Fascination Standard (BIFFS) the results would be too ipsative (ho yea, word of the day) to be meaningful.
I think we need a committee to devise the eligibility for the BIFFS criteria steering committee.

Or maybe we should just continue in the jolly old shapeless way that seems to have worked entertainingly so far?

One more clissification is needed:

R

for random posts tossed out there to stimulate stream of consciousness ranting, much like my fire in the belly post. For it is written, Randomness is the soul of wit.

We would need inter-rater reliability statistics, also.

Could we post the results in something like "The Genius' Guide to Research Statistics.

We may establish a whole new field of academia here.

Can I exclude myself from this, no doubt eminent, reseach group, on the grounds that it would extinguish the dulling ember in my belly?

How about a survey at the start of each one?

I suggest a survey first in order to ascertain if we really need a survey.

I'm not quite clear on the anticipated outcomes of the effort. And without clarity in this area any standards, measurement tools or methodologies, and or process structures seem meaningless.

I think we should develop a scope of work and solicit bids to develop the survey, but not before we develop a scope of work for the scope of work..... any seconds????

You don't realize how much you just made my day! I don't have to attend staff meetings any more.

Oops, I didn't say that right:
My participatory input is no longer mandated at team strategy planning sessions at this point in time.

Do you have any idea how hard it is for a guy like me to keep a straight face while people are saying stuff like that and they're serious?

You're going to have to do it without my participatory input.

I agree. This is just too much for me to handle on a Sunday morning after a cold night time ride

Not to worry, deege, that's what the little triangle at the bottom's for. All the good stuff gets erased while stapfam's asleep so he doesn't get anything interesting to read.

Retired?!?! Given recent events, I won't be able to retire until I'm 80.
