Goiter maybe but for arthritis? I hope you aren't taking elemental iodine but something such as potassium iodide or sodium iodide. That's what is added to iodized table salt. Iodine itself is pretty toxic. The salts are sometimes used to help loosen chest congestion but that form is by prescription only.

Etodolac, an NSAID. I'm not familiar with it. Not sure if it is on the formulary of the hospital I work at.

I took it for quite a while for the cratered discs in my back. That's what the VA prescribed. It was an $8 co-pay for me. The non-VA meloxicam prescription I'm on now seems to work a bit better, is easier on my stomach, and is a $4 co-pay at Wally World.
