First titanium ride
I've been worn down from a cold and sinus infection for a month now. I've commuted only a couple times by bike. This morning, a week after completing my Colnago Ovalmaster build - I had to try her.
I only did a mile, starting with the 2/10 mile climb. It's only enough to hint that she'll do fine. She seems to fit, the handlebars and brifters are in the perfect place, and she feels right. She climbs even better than her 20 lbs would indicate (compact crankset) and the Ultegra STI shifted and braked very nicely.

hello
They're very nice bikes. A friend asked me to build up his Ovalmaster frame a few months back and I test rode it.

There is something magical about ti. The ride quality just makes the weight go away. I have an Airborne ti/carbon seat stay frame and I can always count on feeling good at the end of a 60 mile ride with the bike.
Enjoy, report back with a few more miles.

Whenever a bike comes into the shop with the lever on the right we flip it around before returning the bike to the owner.
Enjoy your new ride.

Couldn't agree more. I have a Merlin with the same ti/carbon seat stay and fork and it is the smoothest ride. I had an aluminum frame Trek Pilot before and the Merlin is not that much lighter but it's much more comfortable on long rides.

Nice bike!!! Ti is the best.
I think you should have the skewer on any side you want but you should consider pointing the QR lever towards the rear. Aside from being more aero than pointing down it might be safer.

It was on Ebay and the seller was local (important because funds hitting a bank account become non-bike). My bike war chest was full of cash. I paid as much as I did for my Paramount but it did come with the compact crankset and Chris King headset. Sharing the wheelset with my Miyata is keeping the cost down slightly and I got some good prices on the DA derailleurs.

That's a pretty bike. I did not know that Ti frames could be painted.
