I put the picture URL as an address in my browser and it works fine. It must have something to do with the interaction of the BFN server abd the photo server???

After I put all the urls in my web browser and viewed them there, I can now see them in the thread.

Strange!!

Thanksgiving in SoCal was threating rain. Well, really, it had already rained and was threatening more. So only 4 of use showed up for the OCRR club ride. When the photo was taken, I was already ahead of the other 3. Art took the photo, Fidel and Mike look drenched.

It rained for about an hour and a half, then blue skies and sunshine! This was taken during the rain! The whole ride was only 38 miles, so plenty of time to get home for dinner.

I visited a friend, so my bikes were a thousand miles away from me. As close as I got to bicycling was listening to "Bike" on the "Very Pink Floyd Thanksgiving" marathon on VH1. I did a little carbo loading though if that counts.

Sigh.... they're playing the disappearing act. I'm linking to my pics in Picasa. I'll try the links again -- thanks for letting me know.

OK, let's see if this works.... or not.

NOT! I give up.

Anyone know how to link back to individual photos at Picasa Web Albums? Usually I'm good at figuring this stuff out so I must be missing something between the ears. Uploading to there is a cinch.... sharing an album via email a piece of cake (or pie).... linking back to this forum, NOT!

The links actually work in a strange sort of way. Please see my previous posts.

It is all quite odd.

Well then, it works in a very round-about way -- like going from southern California to Glenwood Springs, CO by way of NYC.

Never mind... apparently Picasa Web Albums is a photo album sharing site, not a picture hosting site from which to link back to single photos. Oh well, I can still use Shutterfly for that purpose and they have lots of nice products there too. Picasa is great to upload a collection of photos into an album straight from the Picasa photo editor; we're using it for our bike group photos.

Sorry for this hijack, please carry on.......

Sorry, not to the slide show but to the album, clicking on the picture, right click for properties, copy properties to the bfn .

But, this may be what you did originally, and I may be seeing the pics only because I previously linked individually through my web browser..

That's what I did... but I right-clicked and did "copy image location" then pasted that into the post. It appeared for a while, then disappeared - twice.
