My dentist says I need implants to replace a "provisional" bridge up top. Who's been through this before? Any words of wisdom? What's the impact on cycling?

I can not imagine you asking for implants...
I do have a bridge and the only effect that is having on my riding is none...

I've become pretty good at getting "crowned" but don't know nuthin' 'bout implants except that some ladies get stared at by the guys after they get implants. You want to be stared at?

Dental implants are expensive. Might negatively impact N+1.

If your dentist rides a Cervelo, would that be cause for concern? That perhaps you simply represent a Campy upgrade?

Just threaten to bite their fingers off if you feel any pain. They'll shoot you so full of Novocaine you won't feel your face until the next day.....it worked with my dentist when I had a root canal done.

I'm having one implant done and the titanium post cost as much as my titanium frame Colnago. At those rates the insurance company essentially covered the cover charge. The replacement "crown" is the main course.

Root canals - I lost count. I've had repeat root canal work on two teeth after they went super nova. My teeth have very long roots/nerves.

Connection to biking - my dentist lets me park my bike in his office when I manage to ride there (18 miles from home, 10 from work)
