2008 goals

There have been a few threads about goals for the next year. I have a goal for the rest of this one.

I have 2 more work days before the beginning of national holidays here - Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Our weekend is Friday and Saturday. So I have 5 days off. Wednesday I go back to UK, pick up my kids and the car (Deegee, a 1995 mercedes wagon, sturdy and the last car I hope to own) and go to ski in France. I want to be as fit as I can be - I'm doing ok, but with all this time off I'd like to put a few miles in my legs, because skiing with the younger generation who are, I'm glad to say, fit and athletic, I don't want to hear "We'd better wait for dad"..

So - 3 metric centuries, 2 imperial ones. I've said it, so it must be so.

I'll keep you posted

Peace, y'all

I have 20 odd days before I camn take abreak from work and the weekends seem to be a little full at present- So my goal till the end of the year is to get in a decent ride at least once a week till christams Eve. Then i have a whole 12 days to work off the 20lb Turkey that the wife has ordered.

Will a spin class once a week count as a goal? I'd say twice a week, but travel might get in the way.

My goal was to ride 2000 miles in 2008. I just achieved it with 3 weeks to go! Between commuting, running errands and weekend benefit & joy rides, I had a very satisfying year!

I had only two goals for 2008. The second one was to ride 6,000 miles, and I reached that a couple of weeks ago.

The first goal was to survive the year. That one's looking promising, too, but I won't be able to claim that until New Year's Day.

6,000 miles, cool. I don't think I can find that much time and still work full time. My goal was 4,000 miles for the year, should make that this weekend. Did want to get in a second century ride, that will have to wait until next year.

Next years goal, 4500 miles, 2 centuries, one tour of 5 - 7 days from New Jersey to Morgantown WV, or the other way doesn't matter much to me.
